Why equitable feedback matters

I was recently asked why I’m passionate about leaders and leadership.

It’s because we don’t talk enough about what it means to lead ourselves and others.

The more we develop leadership skills, the more we become aware of how we lead.

And whether how we are leading our direct reports is equitable.

HBR research shows that disparity in how feedback is given directly impacts women's ability to advance to more senior positions, perpetuating a cycle of unequal representation in leadership roles.

Want to improve how you give feedback?

🎯 Write down what you want to say
🎯 Make sure the feedback is actionable
🎯 Give specific examples

High-quality, equitable feedback is key to creating diversity in leadership.
