What does burnout look like?
I’m worried about leaders in our schools.
The past few years have been overwhelming.
I’ve spoken with a number who are considering leaving schools altogether.
One of the reasons?
Burnout.
Are you aware of the signs of burnout?
According to a recent article by Fast Company, there are five signs that your staff may be on the brink of burnout:
⚫ Decreased productivity
⚫ Decreased quality of work
⚫ Increased cynicism or negativity
⚫ Increased absences
⚫ Increased conflict among team members
Burnout not only affects the well-being of your team members but also impacts the success of your organization.
You can take a proactive approach by:
🎯 Creating a positive and supportive work environment
🎯 Offering opportunities for professional development and growth
🎯 Promoting and respecting boundaries
You have a responsibility to prioritize the well-being of your team and create a culture where leaders thrive.
By taking steps to prevent burnout, you can ensure that your team is able to perform at their best and achieve their full potential.
Most importantly, you help ensure that great leaders stay in our schools.
