Urgent or important

Is it urgent or is it important?

We don’t ask ourselves this question enough.

It’s easy to fall into the whirlwind of responding to urgent requests.

But urgent isn't always important, and important isn't always urgent.

Something might feel urgent, but is responding getting you closer to your goals?

Are you putting off a major project because it’s not pressing even though tackling it will make real progress?

The urgent might demand your attention in the moment.

But it's the important things that ultimately move you and your organization forward.
