Timing is everything

As leaders, we know the importance of feedback.

But we don’t always get to it when we should.

Here’s the thing:

Feedback is most effective when it's given promptly.

How many times have you received feedback weeks or even months after a project was completed?

It's frustrating.

Not to mention, it's less impactful.

That's why being timely with feedback is crucial.

When you provide feedback in real time:

☑ It's fresh in the minds of your direct reports.
☑ It allows them to reflect on their performance and make adjustments immediately, resulting in continuous improvement.
☑ It also shows that you value and care about the progress of your team members.
☑ It creates a culture of open communication and trust, fostering a positive work environment.

Whether it's quick praise for a job well done or constructive feedback to help someone improve, providing feedback promptly is the goal.

Timing is everything when it comes to feedback.
